My primary interests are in Multilingualism, Language processing, Language Assessment of neurologically impaired speakers. I am also interested in processing of Prosody in native and non-native speakers. I teach courses in Phonetics, Neurolinguistics, Multicultural Issues, Communication Disorders and Neurogenic Language disorders. The Adult Language Research Lab I currently lead is investigating language assessment and processing in healthy and neurologically impaired individuals (Aphasia and Alzheimer's Dementia Patients). The main subgroups under investigation at the present moment are Shona, Zulu, Ndebele, and English speakers. In the Lab we also focus on how lexical tones are processed by native and non-native speakers (Shona, Thai, Mandarin Chinese and Zulu/Ndebele).
