Tuition fees and costs
A limited number of students can be admitted as self-payers. For self-payers in the 2025-2027 cohort, the following consortium fees apply:
Programme country students These are students who hold a passport from one of the European Union or EEA countries. They pay a consortium fee of €9,000 for the entire programme.
Partner country students These are students who do not hold a passport from one of the European Union or EEA countries. They pay a consortium fee of €18,000 for the entire programme.
NOTE: In both cases, the consortium fee covers: registration costs at each of the consortium partners, university administration and diploma costs, insurance, excursions, lab costs and participation in one edition of the Science of Aphasia conference (including accommodation). Required literature, accommodation, travel costs and other study related costs are NOT included in the above-mentioned consortium fee.
Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) Scholarships
Receive a full tuition waiver and a monthly allowance of EUR 1.400 to cover travel, visa, installation, insurance and subsistence costs. Selected students are eligible for the scholarship award for a maximum of two years – the nominal duration of the Research Master European Master in Clinical Linguistics (EMCL)
Please note that:
- There are a limited number of EMJM scholarships available;.
- Students who have already obtained an Erasmus+, EMJM scholarship or an Erasmus Mundus Master/Doctoral scholarship are not eligible;
- Students benefiting from an EMJM scholarship cannot benefit from another EU grant while pursuing their EMCL EMJM studies;
- EMJM EMCL scholarships are awarded based on the ranking of students during the application and selection procedure;
- On the EMCL application form, you can indicate whether you would like to be considered for an EMCL scholarship (please note the deadline for scholarship applications is December 15);
- Upon the completion of the selection procedure by the EMCL Selection Board, each applicant will be informed (from mid-February) about whether s/he/they is/are offered a place in the EMCL programme with or without a scholarship;
- In case of withdrawal of a student who has been offered a place – and, if applicable, a scholarship – the next student in the ranking receives the offer;
- Several scholarships are specifically allocated to students from selected countries. If you are an applicant from one of the following countries (https://erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu/programme-guide/part-a/eligible-countries), we highly encourage you to apply!
Please note that the EMCL has a limited number of scholarships available for the most outstanding applicants. We highly recommend also to look into other funding opportunities that may be available to you.
Individual support
EMCL considers individual support and special needs students for equal access to education. Students with disabilities (e.g. long-term physical, mental, intellectual, or sensory impairments), may apply for the acquisition of special items or services (e.g. assistance by third persons, an adaptation of the work environment, additional travel/transportation costs).
Insurance
The EMCL programme offers a full insurance policy for the two year research master for all students in the programme. Student tuition fees cover insurance that complies with all EACEA requirements and includes:
- Travel insurance (covering loss or damage to luggage);
- Third-party liability (including professional indemnity, if needed);
- Accident and serious illness (covering permanent or temporary incapacity);
- Death (including repatriation during EMCL activities abroad).
