Application/admission

Thank you for sending us your questions via emcl@rug.nl. Do not (!) resend your email. At this moment we are extremely busy with answering all your emails concerning reference letters, payments, technical issues, etc.

1. Please send your technical questions concering payments, not being able to upload in the Progress portal, change documents in the portal, etc. to the admissions department to this email address: admissionsoffice@rug.nl.

2. Questions concerning reference letters, the fact that this box is not ticked in the progress portal will take some time, due to the enormous number of applications.

Stay calm and we will help you as soon as possible.
The name of the EMCL programme in "Studielink" is "Research Master in Clinical Linguistics".
There is a confusing message in the application system. The instructions in Progress ask you to upload the reference letters. However, on our website we mention that your referees need to send their letters to the emailaddress: emcl@rug.nl.

This is what needs to be done: ask your referees to send their letters to emcl@rug.nl. As soon as we received them, we will notify the admissions office to tick the necessary box in Progress
You will receive the link for payment from our admissions office after you submitted all the documents in Progress.

If it takes too long, please contact the admissions office: admissionsoffice@rug.nl
Not a problem at all. You need to send us (so upload it in the progress portal) a transcript of records plus a statement of your university that you will finish your studies before the 1st of September 2024.
The motivation letter should be 1-2 pages. Not longer than 2 pages in any case.
Yes and no. Please act as follows:

Even though your referees send their academic letter of recommendation directly to emcl@rug.nl, you still need to upload a pdf document in Progress, containing either both letters or a blank pdf document, otherwise your application will remain 'incomplete'.

Programme

The programme starts on September 1, 2024.
